Several ladies have asked about when they should begin registering for 2011 tournaments. To help you with your plans for 2011, we will provide a little snippet in the newsletters related to each of our tournament locations as well as a listing of the important dates.

Last month we gave a little preview of Sam Rayburn. This month you will find a little on Lake Hartwell. In the coming months you will find information on Guntersville and Old Hickory. We are planning on providing more information about each location starting in January.

Anglers can begin paying deposits for 2011 at any time. We currently have a number of anglers who have pre-registered for all four tournaments. They wanted to get payments in now so they could then focus on the upcoming holidays and avoid having all of those payments and travel expenses hitting at one time. Once the 2011 season gets here, it is about six weeks between final payment deadlines, but in middle are all of the tournament expenses for people to consider as well. The balance due date is 30 days prior to the first day of official practice to avoid the $50 late fee. If you are mailing yours, the postmark on the envelop is the date used.

 

The following are the final payment dates for each tournament for 2011 to avoid the late fee!
February 15, 2011 for Sam Rayburn
April 5, 2011 for Lake Hartwell
June 7, 2011 for Lake Guntersville
July 26, 2011 for Old Hickory

We have also been asked the question about what happens to the money if we pay now. All money that comes in is placed in savings and designated and used only for the tournament in which it was specified. In short, that money will not be touched until time for the tournament an angler signs up to participate.
