The Pro Gator Boats sponsored Lady Bass Anglers Association has rescheduled what was to be our second event of the 2020 season on Lake Hartwell.

We have worked closely with the Hart County Chamber of Commerce to find dates that work with both of our schedules. Christie Blomberg, the Executive Director has been amazing with working through the logistics. We are so grateful for the support of the Hart County Chamber of Commerce. “Our anglers are eager to fish and love Lake Hartwell, but it was an easy decision for both parties to reschedule,” stated Secret York, Co-Founder of the Lady Bass Anglers Association. We are eager to do what we can to support each of our event locations in getting their economies back on track.

Tournament Director Larry Valentine acknowledges that fishing at the end of July and beginning of August will have some challenges that we have not faced as much in recent history. “We will have to look at all of the options available for taking care of our anglers and the fish.” When asked for specifics, Larry wanted to be able to keep options open so that the best decisions possible could be made based up the conditions at that time. The LBAA working hand in hand with Hart County Chamber of Commerce will have an amazing event!

In addition to having the opportunity to see and meet some of the best female anglers in the country, there will be a special kids event to take place on Saturday, August 1st. At each event, the LBAA partners with Albert Talafuse of Pond Hopper Nation to provide a Free “Teach a Child to Fish” event. The first 60 kids who register online through Pond Hopper Nation get a free shirt and walk away with a free rod and reel! Please spread the word. It will be a great way to start winding down summer vacation before the next school year kicks off.

Rest assured, the Pro Gator Boats sponsored Lady Bass Anglers Association will be coming to Hart County, Georgia and the beautiful Lake Hartwell this summer. We want everyone to join us experience all Hart County has to offer! DeAnna Lovvorn, the reigning Lady Bass Classic Champion of the co-angler’s division, hits the nail on the head when it comes to fishing a lake in tough conditions with her moto. “The challenge of a fishery is to Improvise, adapt and overcome.” We are still in the process of making a few arrangements related to the event. As soon as we have the updates, we will make those available. Until then, we hope each of you and your families are sheltering at home and enjoying the time that you have together.

The Lady Bass Anglers Association has amazing weigh trailer sponsors as well. Thank you all for your year-long support. Robbie Hartline

Robbie Hartline

My name is Robbie Hartline and I live in Hot Springs, AR. I grew up in the Southwest; Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. My Dad introduced me to fishing as a child and I was hooked from the start. Our approach was quite different then. Most of our fishing was done in a lawn chair hoping to catch whatever would bite. I looked forward to every trip and even won a Zebco 33 in a derby when I was 12.
