The Pro Gator Boats sponsored Lady Bass Anglers Association has once again made schedule revisions. As a result of Hurricane Laura, we canceled the Cane River Tournament for 2020 and made a revision to the October dates.
The revisions were made with considerations for the angler of the year points race, travel, and other relevant factors.
The final tournament of the 2020 season will take place on Truman Lake on October 22-23, 2020. At the conclusion, the angler of the year points race will be finalized, and anglers recognized for their accomplishments. It is also at this time when the Lady Bass Classic Qualifiers will be announced. The anglers qualifying for the Classic will fish a one-day shootout for the 2020 Classic title.
This arrangement allows most of the anglers an opportunity to compete in a third event for the year, earn angler of the year points and still have a championship event. Because we already had a three-day event scheduled on Lake Truman, it just too a little creativity to work out the plan. Anglers who had registered for Cane River, have been given priority on registration and now that we have an idea of our numbers, we can open registration up for the October 22-23 event. We encourage any anglers interested in entering to go online and register. We currently have a one co-angler waitlist. We encourage anyone interested in taking part to go to our website and register.
The first day of official practice will begin on Saturday, October 17th. Anglers will begin arriving in the Clinton, Missouri area October 16th to get settled in and ready for the big week. These anglers will have traveled from all over the country to take part in this event. The states represented are Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. After four and a half days of practice, the two day tournament will begin and the week will end with the one day Lady Bass Classic Shootout!
The details for the Lady Bass Classic are as follows:
Pairings will be according to the Angler of the Year Point Standings plus additional qualifiers.
