Judy_Skibinski_300New LBAA member Judy Skibinski is a single lady who lives in East Texas and has a passion for fishing! If you ask her when she got started fishing, her reply will declare that she was born with a fishing pole in her hand.

Judy recalls” getting my own pole on my 7th birthday” as one of many high points. She has many fond memories of her mom and dad, on their Sunday afternoon outings where she, her brother and sister would spend the entire afternoon fishing. The one memory that she has the longest running memory of was the first time she went trout fishing and caught her first trout on her new pole! What a thrill it is to relive that wonderful memory. Needless to say from that point on, Judy says “I was in”!

Having fished in several tournaments in East Texas, fishing a women’s tournament will be a first and Judy is looking forward to all of the great experiences that await her on the tour. “It is nice to see a group of women take charge of their own destiny by coming together to form their own association.”

Judy loves to learn and is eager to get onboard with some of the pros and pick up a few additional techniques along the way. Her current favorite is fishing a wacky worm. She also enjoys fishing crankbait and spinner bait. To learn more about Judy, email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
