|Indiana Co-Angler Diana Uebelhack|
My name is Diana Uebelhack and I live in Mt Vernon, Indiana. I grew up in Dubois County, Indiana and I come from a very large farming family. As a little girl, I spent many happy times fishing with my parents. The farm made so many demands on their time, that family vacations were something unheard of, but it was not uncommon for Dad to grab the fishing poles and say, “come on let’s go see if we can catch dinner”.
I grew up and started a family but, fishing was always there in the back of my mind and something I enjoyed doing when I would get the chance to, sometimes just pulling up and surprising Dad or just getting off by myself to fish and ponder life’s problems. Later on when I met my husband Dennis, I was thrilled to find out we had so much in common. I grew up on a Turkey farm and he raises Turkeys. I love to fish, and much to my surprise, he is a tournament fisherman. One day he suggested I should look into fishing the Lady Bass Anglers Tour.
As a newcomer to the tournament circuit, I was thrilled in 2011 when I traveled to Lake Sam Rayburn in Jasper, Texas and landed the largest fish of the 2011 season, a bass that weighed in at over seven pounds and won the co-angler category. I was hooked and there was no stopping me now.
Thru the years fishing LBAA, I have made so many new friends and realize I am blessed to be afforded this amazing opportunity. Without the LBAA and the continued support of my Husband Dennis and my family, I would be unable to pursue this dream.
