My name is Mickie Wolfinbarger. I was born at Fort Campbell, Kentucky
but have spent most of my life in Missouri. I am 55 yrs. old and my passion is bass fishing.
I got started fishing with my dad when he would take me with him to go trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo during our family vacations. My love for fishing grew from there.
In the 1980’s I join a women’s fishing club and met my mentor Julie Martin who competed in the Lady Bass and Bass N Gals circuits as a professional lady angler. She told me if I could ever beat her out of AOY in the club, that she would take me to my first Bass N Gal professional tournament. It took me 3 yrs. to accomplish that goal. In 1992 she took me to the Bass N Gal tournament on Mark Twain Lake here is Missouri. I won the tournament and a new Ranger Boat. That is when I knew I wanted to become a touring professional bass angler for a living. Because it is so expensive to be in that profession, I had to wait to fish full time until I retired. I retired in 2017 from MoDot, Missouri Dept. of Transportation; so I could fish as a professional bass angler.
In 1994, I helped create the Springfield Bass Club who affiliated with B.A.S.S in the Federation Central Division. In 1996 I qualified in 10th place out of 438 male competitors on Stockton Lake and became the first female on the Missouri State Federation Team and the 4th female to ever qualify for Divisionals at that time.
I continued to fish circuits including Guys N Gals, Bass N Gal’s, Midwest Bass, Heartland Pro-Am, WBFL, Women’s Bassmaster Tour, Solo Pro, and now the Lady Bass Anglers Association.
My proudest accomplishments include:
1992 Bass N Gal Missouri Invitational Winner
1997 Missouri State Team member
2006 Women’s Bassmaster Tour 2nd place finish Bull Shoals Lake, Ar.
2007 Women’s Bassmaster Tour 12th place finish Kentucky Lake, Ky.
2007 The W.I.N. Challenged Athlete Award which is given to a local female who demonstrates the ability to re-define barriers for women through her participation in sports.
2015 LBAA 3rd place Bull Shoals, Ar.
2017 LBAA 1st place Logan-Martin, Al.
2017 LBAA Angler of the Year Pro Division.
I am also the assistant coach and boater for the Hillcrest H.S. Fishing Team.

Now that I am retired and can fish full time, I want to promote fishing for all ages as a lifetime sport. I will continue to teach and pass on my personal knowledge of fishing and the sport preservation for future generations. I am hoping the younger generation will come forward and continue the passion I have for bass fishing.
My greatest honor is being the 2017 AOY in the LBAA. I could have never accomplished this goal without the support of my family, friends, and my sponsors. A Big THANK YOU to Bass Pro-Branson, Lew’s, Jewel Baits, Gamma Line, Picky Vicki’s, MoBassFishin’, Check Into Cash, MoBassFishin’ Solo Pro Series and Chompers.
I also want to thank Secret and Cheryl for their vision. A Professional Woman’s Touring Circuit. The LBAA is the future in woman’s professional bass fishing!
PLEASE COME AND JOIN US!!! YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!
