Lady Bass Classic 2017

Tournament Updates
Lake Palestine
The Lady Bass Anglers Association will travel to Texas beautiful Lake Palestine for the seventh annual Lady Bass Classic to conclude the 2017 season.  The ramp location is at The Lake Palestine Resort and Marina 8900 Ruby Lane Frankston, Texas 75763. This is a NO ENTRY Fee Event and is for anglers who qualified throughout the season.
The field will consist of the top twelve anglers in both the professional and co-angler divisions, two in each division from the 2017 Wildcard Tournament, and one from each division via draw from anglers who fished all four events but did not qualify through points.  All told, a minimum of a fifteen angler field will be competing in this event for championship title, cash and prizes. Unlike other events during 2017, this event will have anglers competing for three days and is a no entry fee event. Each of the three days anglers are competing to bring in the heaviest stringer for their respective divisions. Five for professionals and three for amateurs each day of the competition looking for the highest cumulative three day total weight. The angler with the largest three day weight will be crowned the Lady Bass Classic Champion! One angler in each division will also be awarded a  prize for the biggest bass of the tournament. Cash payouts in each division will be paid to anglers competing in the tournament.
Lake Palestine is comprised of 22,560 acres of water and encompassing 135 miles of shoreline. It was created by the impoundment of the Neches River and operated by the Neches River Municipal Water Authority. Vegitation and flooded timber are the main forms of cover. Auqatic plants are restricted to shallow water protected from the wind in nutrient rich areas. Most of the flooded timber is located above the Texas Highway 155 Bridge. The lake records are 13.22 lbs for largemouth and 2.65 lbs 1 for spotted bass. The state records for these three species are 18.18 lbs for largemouth and 5.98 lbs 15.5 oz for spotted bass.   The last day for anglers to accept the invitation to compete in the Lady Bass Classic is September 24, 2017.
