Lake Hickory

The Lady Bass Anglers Association will travel to North Carolina's beautiful Hickory Lake for the third regular season event for 2017. This will be the first time that that LBAA has fished the waters of Hickory Lake.

Hickory Lake impounds the Catawaba River. The lake is controlled by Duke Energy and has five public access areas on the the lake in cooperation with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.  and has the primary purpose of flood control. The full pond elevation is 935 feet above sea level.

The shoreline of the lake encompases 105 miles and covers almost 4,223 acres. The lake is named after the city of Hickory, North Carolina which runs along the northern edge of the river. This will be one of the smaller lakes that the LBAA fishes on during the regular tour stops of 2017.

This two day pro/am event will have pro-anglers competing to bring in the heaviest 5 fish limit comprised of any combination of largemouth, or spotted bass. Co-anglers are looking for the same species but only need 3 fish for a bag limit each day. The angler in each division with the largest combined two day weight will be awarded the top cash prize for her division. One angler in each division will also be awarded a  prize for the biggest bass of the tournament. Cash payouts in each division will be paid to every 1 in 5 anglers registering for the tournament. Entry fees for pro-anglers is $400 and for co-anglers is $200. The last day to register without a late fee is May 9, 2017.
