Lake Hartwell Tournament Information

The Lady Bass Anglers Association will make it's third stop of the 2020 tournament season on beautiful Lake Hartwell which shares borders with both Georgia and South Carolina. This body of water is comprised of 56,000 acres and 962 miles of shoreline. The Georgia state record for each species of fish is: largemouth is 22 lbs 4 oz,  smallmouth  7 lbs 2 oz and spotted bass is 8 lbs 2 oz. This event was originally scheduled for May, but had to be rescheduled. Entry fees for pro-anglers is $400 and for co-anglers is $200.  Anglers are encouraged to complete registgration by July 1, 2020 to avoid paying the late fee. 
Georgia and South Carolina have a reciprocal agreement and a license from either state is valid. Please check for any specifics on the state site. Fishing license fees are $15 Annual for residents; $50 for non-residents and both are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Georgia licenses may be purchased on line at,by mail or in person. For South Carolina the license fees are $10 for annual resident and $35 for annual nonresident. Both are good for 12 months from the date of purchase. Additionally, South Carolina has a nonresident 14 day license for $11 and it is valid for 14 consecutive days.
This two day pro/am event, hosted by the Hart County Chamber of Commerce Hartwell, Georgia,  will have pro-anglers will be competing to bring in the heaviest 5 fish limit comprised of any combination of largemouth, smallmouth, or spotted bass. Co-anglers are looking for the same species but only need 3 fish for a bag limit each day. The angler in each division with the largest combined two day weight will be awarded the top cash prize for her division.  Cash payouts in each division will be paid to every 1 in 5 anglers registering for the tournament. One angler in each division will also be awarded a  prize for the biggest bass of the tournament.
Lake Hartwell is a U.S. Army Corp of Engineers body of water. Anglers who have an annual pass may launch at any  Corps ramp at no additional charge. Gum Branch Mega Ramp is the designated launch site for the event with the weigh-in each day taking place in the parking lot.
